Artistic Work
Artwork at Kinderschule is more about process than product. This is because the children are able to explore and grow according to their own needs and interests in the same way as our Free Play allows it. Paintings, drawings, and other creations done by the children are marked with the date they were done and collected in the child’s personal folder. This package will show the change and development in their art over the year.
Most days at Kinderschule start with the teacher presenting the day’s crafting activity to the arriving children in our crafting area. Throughout the morning, children have access to a number of art centres:
At the same time, seasonally appropriate projects are prepared by caregivers so that the children have the opportunity to bring their own skills and creativity to completed products. These include items like lanterns for Laternenfest, cards for Christmas, and a variety of others.
